Definitely the longest set I've done in years, covers a lot of ground. 3 hours starting with some throw-backs, something a little funky, traveling through some Breakbot, some electro swing, and then ending with a little Kill The Noise and touch of top 40.
The emerging indie electro scene has really been doing it for me lately. It mixes the fundamental production values of electronic music with some of the more mainstream appeal of indie music, like lyrics, for example :)
Hey Champ - Cold Dust Girl
Friendly Fires - Paris
Cut Copy - Lights & Music
Here are a few more songs I've been getting into lately.
Think 80s spirit with modern electronic production. A fun album to get in to.
Chromeo - Tenderoni
Chromeo - Bonafied Lovin' (Yuksek Remix)
I'm still finding obscure Justice remixes and new music on the hype machine that kick ass. Two of the latest:
Keedz / Justice - Stand on the World
Since their concert in San Francisco a few months ago, I've been getting more and more into Justice. Stumbled across both of these sets -- a bit rough around the edges, but I've been listening to both non-stop for the past two weeks.
Update: and while I'm at it, here's two more Justice-themed tracks. The first is a remix of Justice's D.A.N.C.E., and the second is a remix by Justice of Love Stoned.
